Menopause in Motion
Saturday 24 October, 3pm to 6pm, Brook Place
Falling oestrogen does not hit one system. It takes muscle and bone, it strips the collagen in your tendons and fascia, and it makes the nervous system far harder to switch off. Which is why the stiffness, the weakness and the broken sleep all arrive at once, and why no single class deals with all of it.
So this afternoon is three, led throughout by Gaynor Hague.
3pm · Reformer Pilates - rebuild the
core
Spring resistance gives controlled, progressive load without
pounding the joints. Strength and stability rebuilt from the centre
out. Jen will assist, so first-timers are properly looked after -
no prior expereince needed.
4pm · Yin - release the fascia
Long passive holds work into connective tissue rather than muscle,
restoring range of motion where collagen loss has taken it.
5pm · Sound Bath - settle the
system
Sustained tone and low cognitive demand pull you into the deep rest
that is hardest to reach when sleep and stress regulation are
already disrupted.
Tea and a proper break in between.
No experience needed on any of it. This is a relaxed afternoon, not a test. Rest when you want to, sit a section out, come back.
17 places. £65 until 30 September, £75 after that.
