GYM UPDATES

  • LATE CANCELLATION: Due to alot of classes being left half empty with close cancellation, we have changed the cancellation policy to 12 hours - This change was communicated via email and started at the beginning of May - If you do have an emergency and need to cancel a class, please feel free to email at backofhouse@quinitboxing.com
  • POCO RENOVATIONS: PoCo is going through some small renovations and we'll shuffling things around on the main floor. Please be patient with us as we work on improving the boxing space for you guys. No classes will be affected as of right now but will keep you updated through here
  • NEW FALL SCHEDULE: We've heard your feedback so far from the new schedule and will be making adjustments. We're working our best to accomodate everyone's request to what aligns with our vision of our athletes. Thank you guys for your patience and if anyone does have any questions or feedback, please email backofhouse@quinitboxing.com.
  • SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS: There are also some schedule adjustments as Coach Erwin will be mainly focusing on strength & conditioning classes so certain classes have switched over to S&C while he rehabs an injury.
  • LOST & FOUND: Everyone please make sure you take your stuff with you home on the daily. The lost& found bins are filling up quick so please check them as we will be donating or throwing out what is in there at the end of each week!

COMMUNITY UPDATES

  • PROS BACK IN ACTION - Logan and Eric are both back in camp as well. Logan will be competing in his biggest match of his pro career out in Quebec at the end of the month. Eric will be travelling to Nova Scotia after a great showing out in the Middle East.
  • CHAMP CAMP TRAINING - Try-outs have been completed and our Champ Camp team has kicked off their 2 hard months of training and will be working towards their fights on November 15th.
  • ROAD FOR STRENGTH & CONDITIONING - We will be doing roadwork on Mondays at 6PM at our PoCo location with Coach Karl. The class will start will an outdoor jog with the team (weather permitted) and will finish with bag rounds once back at the gym. Please bring your outdoor running shoes & boxing shoes to class.

WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON

  • TECH SPAR: We heard everyone feedback from the member survey's and we're currently working on a plan to up the level of intensitry in tech spar but ensuring we are all following a safe way of doing it
  • CURRICULUM REPS: With all the reps that we've been putting in, our assessments our seeing a HUGE jump in passing grades! I get the reps may be boring over time which is why we're working on adding more variety to the core concepts everyone will be drilling. Still a work in progress but expect a variety of different drills but the core focuses will be the same.
  • WORKBOOK: Behind the scenes, we're working on simplifying the Workbook used to prepare for the Assessment
