This year’s workshop is a refined version of last year’s. We’ll explore how to build choreography from the ground up, develop or clarify your personal movement style, finding shapes and movement that feel and look good on your body, create smoother transitions and flow, and deepen your understanding of musicality and performance. The goal is to give you practical tools while also creating space to explore, experiment, and grow as a mover.
This workshop is open to students from levels 101–404. It’s a mixed-level workshop, with much of the time dedicated to personal exploration at your own level. I’ll provide prompts and creative direction to guide our weekly focus, while moving around the room to offer individual guidance and feedback. You’re encouraged to work at a pace and level that feels right for you. Heels are welcome.
