We are super excited about the changes and wanted to share some items with all of you! The new schedule goes into effect Saturday. While the regular class times are the same we have added a new adult class and a new Women's only class along with two open mat opportunities. We are in the process of sourcing new Gi's and apparel. You are still welcome to wear any Gracie gear you have. Please log in and sign the new waiver that is on each of your accounts. We will need these signed before you can train. We have new social media sites- Please please like and follow us! We also created a private group page for all our students and their parents. There are NO REGULAR KID'S CLASSES this Thursday, Nov 6th. If your child has completed their AKROS GAME sheet, they can participate in the games from 4-6 PM. We are super proud of those who have worked hard to earn this fun time!

The Akros Game Day for "self-control" will be Thursday, Nov 6th from 4-6 PM. We will not have our regular kid classes that day. To participate, your child must turn in their completed self control sheet prior to that day. This game time is a reward for those who have taken the time to incorporate the virtue into their lives and have worked on the sheet. Parents, this is for the child to do. No matter their age or ability, they can do this, and we highly encourage you to have them involved in this work. We want to grow your child on and off the mats and this means incorporating the values we discuss in class into their lives. If your chld has not yet filled out their sheet, or you need to get one, we have them at the front desk. Thanks, Michele

Parents we will be hosting our "Akros Games" for those kids who successfully have have worked on and incorporated their virtue for this quarter- Wisdom. Reminder that current students have unlimited access to all classes through the summer until August 15th. This is a great opportunity to get lots of extra classes in and make up for those classes you miss when your on vacation.

We will be closed next Saturday, May 24th for the Memorial Day break. We will be open on Monday for regular scheduled classes.

We have a new take on Gameday for the kids. It is called the Akros Games. We will focus on four different virtues, one a quarter. Unlike the sheets before, to qualify to come to the games, the child has to write down acts of the virtue we are covering that they did throughout the quarter. Each child will be required to write down one for every year they are old. So, a 5 yr old will write down five examples. The child will be required to complete this. This will make them more responsible and help them understand that getting to particpate in the Akros Games is a privilege that they have to earn. Each virtue has a color assigned to it. If they child completes the requirement, they will earn a patch that symbolizes their work to wear on their uniform. The virtues will be talked about in the classes and the expectations as well.
