I am a new mother. I was astonished that the journey through pregnancy, birth, and new motherhood had such a profound and positive effect on my life. However, I was also amazed that this process was so physically and mentally taxing and that such little care and attention is offered to birth parents as they transition into their new bodies and roles. I was moved to seek training to help support others through pregnancy and parenthood. A few months after giving birth, I completed my 85-hour pre/postnatal yoga teacher training. Since that time, I have been offering pre and postnatal classes. From my own experience, I know just how important support, both physical and emotional, is for parents-to-be and new-parents, and I enjoy being a member of a community of support.
