Emily (she/her) has proudly cared for new families
through pregnancy, birth, and lactation for the last 14 years. Her
previous experience includes birth and postpartum doula, childbirth
educator, midwife's assistant, and community health worker. After
her own experiences with infertility, birth trauma, and
breastfeeding difficulties, Emily understands the importance of a
strong and skilled postpartum care team. Emily's approach to
lactation care is client-centered -- helping you to identify and
meet your own feeding goals. In addition to her standard lactation
education, Emily has taken extra courses in perinatal mental
health, herbalism, homeopathy, and nutrition. She
provides full spectrum lactation care including: low milk supply,
relactation/induced lactation, exclusive pumping, and weaning
support. LGBTQ+ families and parents of multiples hold a special
place in her heart.
Emily is passionate about social justice and health equity.
She serves as a board member on the Detroit Perinatal Wellness
Coalition and is currently pursuing a Master's in Public Health
from the University of Michigan.
