Naz, born in Malaysia started dancing at the age of 10. She is originally a Bollywood dancer and together with her 3 sisters, they choreographed and performed Bollywood routines at various events. After moving to Australia at the age of 17, Naz discovered different styles of dance and quickly fell in love with Latin dancing. She enrolled in her 1st Salsa course in 2008 and worked her way up from a Beginner student to an Advanced student and later recruited to be a trainee instructor in 2010. During the day, Naz works full time as a Project Manager within the digital media industry. After hours, she puts on her 'cape' aka dance shoes and spends her nights teaching Salsa. Naz is one of the original instructors recruited when Tropical Soul first opened in 2011 and is a Senior Salsa Instructor, Choreographer, Performer and Competitor. She is known for her high energy, her quirky sense of humour, and her ability to connect with her students. She has also performed at various events and competed nationally, representing Tropical Soul. I love the rhythm and I love the way it makes me feel. Dancing means the world to me and it's my form of meditation. After a long day of work, stress and dealing with everyday life, dancing helps me clear my mind, keeps me focused and most importantly, makes me happy. I have made lifelong friends through dancing and I feel so blessed. My favourite class to teach are beginner classes. I love teaching beginners because I love seeing my students grow from zero to a hundred! And I want to help them reach their potential.
