Kristina Fluty

Kristina Fluty has been dancing and teaching across Chicago for nearly two decades. Her main creative home since 2003 is Molly Shanahan/Mad Shak, and she has also enjoyed making work with many other choreographers and companies. She is an Assistant Professor of Movement for Actors at The Theatre School at DePaul University. Kristina holds a Masters in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling, a graduate certificate in Laban Movement Analysis, and is a registered Movement Pattern Analyst; she received her BA in Dance from Point Park University in the last century. Kristina's class is heavily influenced by her Laban/Bartenieff work, her extended time dancing with Molly Shanahan, Contact Improvisation, and her continued personal practice of Feldenkrais, Skinner Releasing, and Body-Mind Centering
