Love the tap classes! Started in person then moved to online due to the pandemic. Mary puts together lessons, notes and videos that are easy to follow for the online sessions. Look forward to returning to in person classses.
Mary earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from St. Edward's Univ. in Austin, TX. After completing her degree, she continued to train at a variety of studios, including the Dupree Dance Studio in Los Angeles, CA, and Steps on Broadway and the Broadway Dance Center in New York City.
She began teaching children’s dance classes in 1998 at Marilyn Bostic’s Ballet Centre in Tempe, AZ. In 2002, she was hired as an adjunct faculty member at Mesa Community College, and found that she loved teaching adults. In January of 2003, she became the artistic director of MCC On Tap, Mesa Community College’s tap dance ensemble. She has also taught tap at other Maricopa Colleges, including Scottsdale CC and Chandler-Gilbert CC. In addition to the colleges, she has taught children’s and adults’ dance classes for the City of Tempe.
