David worked as a banquet chef at a private club in the Atlanta area for several years  and then decided to to slow down and be more present in his spiritual, emotional, and physical life by developing a yoga practice.His growth and passion in daily practice led David to pursue his Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification in the summer of 2003 at Peachtree Yoga Center in Atlanta, GA. While studying yoga, David transitioned careers from foodservice to managing a vitamin and nutritional supplement retail store. In 2004 David was invited to lead a “therapeutic yoga” workshop series at a physical therapy studio which also offered The Gyrotonic Expansion System. With a growing interest in preventative health and wellness, David began his apprenticeship in Gyrotonic Expansion System in October 2004.In the fall of 2006, David moved to New York to deepen his understanding of the Gyrotonic System. During his tenure at Gyrotonic New York, he took a number of specialized trainings, including Gyrotonic Applications for Golf, Gyrotonic Abdominals and a Pre- and Post- Natal course. David was honored to be a certified in Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis by creator Juliu Horvath.Having started his bodywork career at a physical therapy studio that emphasized an integrated approach utilizing manual therapy, core stability and movement training, David decided to pursue his license in massage therapy to further his education. He received his certification in neuromuscular therapy in September 2013. David continues to expand his massage therapy techniques, recently training in craniosacral therapy (CS1) with the Upledger Institute in July 2015.David is an avid golfer and kayaker and specializes in Golf Fitness training utilizing Gyrotonic Movement. David is also developing a Golf manual therapy program for massage therapists and offers integrated assessment movement training for Golfers.
