You can easily create a client survey using Forms. Client surveys can be useful for gathering valuable insight and feedback about your business and the services you offer.
Create the survey in Forms
When you create or modify a form to use as a survey, keep in mind the following information:
Define a clear goal for your survey — What do you want to find out by sending a survey? If you want feedback on a specific service, keep your questions focused on that service and avoid asking questions that aren’t relevant.
Don’t make your survey too long — Clients will be more likely to complete your survey if it doesn’t take too much of their time or ask too many questions.
Place questions that require more effort towards the end — Start off by asking simple questions and place the ones that require more input from your clients towards the end of the survey.
Avoid open-ended questions — Limit the number of questions that require long answers from your clients. Questions that use pre-populated answer choices, such as multiple choice or radio buttons, are easier for clients to answer.
Consider an incentive for your clients — Clients will be more likely to complete your survey if they benefit from it. For example, you can enter clients who complete your survey into a draw for a chance to win a free service or product from your store.
Preview your survey before you send it — Always review your survey before sending it to your clients. Ensure that there are no errors and the questions follow a logical flow. You can view the survey by copying and pasting the form’s direct URL into a new browser window.
Track your survey’s responses — By enabling response receipts in the form’s settings, you can be notified whenever a client completes your survey.
Send the survey to clients
Once you have created a survey, you can send a direct URL to the survey in an email, SMS message, or push notification to an individual client or a group of clients.
Review survey responses
After your clients have responded to the survey, you can export the survey responses in a .csv file and view it in Microsoft Excel.
