I’m Len, CEO and co-founder of WellnessLiving. We are the fastest-growing all-in-one business management software in the health and wellness space, and one of the business types we’re honored to serve are martial arts studios. I really love the work that martial arts studios put in and taking a class is a fun but also intense workout. I’ve even had the chance to visit some of our customers with martial arts studios, try their classes out for myself, and hear them talk about their success using our platform.
First, let me tell you about our story. Getting here wasn’t easy, but I’m proud of how we did it—it took a lot of hard work, support from the martial arts community, and a little bit of fate.
In 2009, I started a bootcamp that grew into a business with multiple locations across North America. As the business grew, I was overwhelmed with the increasing fees from my business management software: Mindbody. I knew there had to be a better solution.
Then I ran into my childhood friend, Sasha Davids, while on vacation in Jamaica. We spent the whole week catching up and I shared the challenges I was facing with my customer relationship management (CRM) and scheduling software and knew I wasn’t alone.
One thing led to another, and Sasha and I joined forces to create an affordable, customizable, and easy-to-use software that could truly move martial arts studios forward. Each tool is developed to make everything easier for your clients.
- With our Achieve Client App, clients can book, check in, and pay for martial arts classes anytime from their mobile device.
- Our custom website widgets attract new clients, letting them book services right from your website or Facebook page.
- Reserve with Google allows clients to find and book your in-studio or virtual martial arts classes from Google Maps or web searches.
- Book-a-Spot lets clients reserve their favorite training equipment or spot in the dojo, ensuring that everything is organized.
Our automated marketing suite ensures that your clients are always happy and kept in the loop. Just ask Forrest and Sarah Caudill, the husband-and-wife team who own Fighting Fit Boot Camp in North Austin, Texas. I had the chance to speak with them as part of our CEO Tour—a passion project of mine where I visit our customers, listen to their amazing stories, and even take a class.
When I visited them, I got to hear all about their passion for martial arts. Forrest started his own martial arts studio called Austin Impact Jeet Kune Do while working on the side as trainer at Fighting Fit Boot Camp—where he met Sarah. It was love at first fight and the duo later bought Fighting Fit Boot Camp, and the rest is history.
Sarah told me she loves how easy it is to manage and communicate with clients. Our system conveniently sends out custom emails, text, and push notifications to ensure you’re on the same page as your clients. Fighting Fit Boot Camp also runs fitness challenges, and our system is great for tracking client attendance and purchases.
I had such a blast learning all about Fighting Fit Boot Camp. Forrest showed me around the facility, taught me a few moves, and I even got to throw a few punches in one of their martial arts classes. Watch the full video below.
