Clayton's love for teaching comes from the joy that music has brought him throughout the entirety of his life, and the desire to share it with others. Clayton has been a professional performing and recording artist for over 20 years, and an instructor for 10. Starting his career in 1999 as a side musician to Borealis recording artist Angus Finnan, Clayton's musical experience has crossed many genres. He's also worked as a side musician and session player to such acts as legendary children's entertainer Washboard Hank, rock-a-billy Hall of Famer Ronnie Hayward, Petunia and Jimmy Bowskill.He currently performs with Dave Mowat & the Curbside Shuffle Blues band, Brendt Thomas Diabo, and the Quickshifters (Hillbilly Boogie/Rockabilly/Swing dance).
