CONTEMPORARY CLASS -- 6 WEEK SERIES: Alexis Drabek's contemporary modern class blends the foundational techniques of Graham, Horton, and Limón to create a dynamic and expressive movement experience. Drawing from Graham’s powerful contractions and releases, Horton’s strong lines and percussive movements, and Limón’s fluid weight shifts and breath-driven phrasing, the class emphasizes both technical precision and artistic expression. Dancers will explore grounded floorwork, expansive spatial pathways, and dynamic phrasing that challenge strength, flexibility, and musicality. Through structured exercises, improvisational elements and modern repertoire, students will develop an understanding of movement efficiency, musicality and emotional intent.
