Somatics is a slow, easy movement awareness practice, mostly done lying comfortably on a mat. 

Through intentional movements in the direction of comfort and ease, the nervous system is safely supported, and the physical body can 'unwind' from held postural patterns, tension, tightness, and imbalance. The results can be relief from pain, more freedom and pleasure in moving, and improved alignment of body and mind.

The practice also helps to uncover and release emotions or buried traumas stored in the body, which are root causes to pain, inflexibility, and feelings of disconnection from your True Self.

When we are intentionally aware of this “untangling” within, the inner wisdom of the body moves toward the health, vitality, and balance that is always present,. Somatics allows us to remove the obstacles in the way of the only true authentic healing, which is self-healing.
