Living with depression and/or anxiety might cause someone to wonder how much agency they actually have in their lives. It can feel like moods and emotions drive the bus, and we don’t get to just “choose happiness” like some posters/plaques/jewelry/cocktail napkins would instruct us. However, there ARE tools and strategies that we can use to get through difficult moods and episodes and to move us toward mental health.
This workshop explores how moving our bodies with yoga postures, resting deeply with restorative yoga and meditation, and doing this in a group of other compassionate humans can at least give you a little relief and maybe even help you to heal in the long term. Together, let’s highlight everything YOU control about your mind and your body, amidst all the myriad things you don’t. Feel what it’s like to have some of that agency, and you might notice your struggles get just a little bit lighter.
