It's well known that yoga helps keep bones strong, while also increasing strength, flexibility and balance in your body to help prevent falls in the first place. This class will teach exactly how yoga builds bone mass and how to keep your body safe throughout your practice if you have low bone density or are interested in preventing it.
Over the course of the four weeks we will learn the 12 yoga poses proven to build bone mass according to a study by Dr. Loren Fishman, whose research and extensive study this series is based upon. Students will receive handouts of the poses because building bone mass requires practicing regularly either at home or here at HOME.
Who this series is for:
Detailed instructions of each pose will be given so this series is accessible for beginner yoga students as well as seasoned practitioners.
This series will be especially helpful for students with osteoporosis, osteopenia or anyone concerned about bone loss.
