Description

Are you struggling with memory, focus, or finding the right words? You’re not alone. Many people affected by cancer experience cognitive changes, often referred to as “brain fog.” This can impact daily life, making it harder to concentrate, problem-solve, or complete tasks efficiently.

Common symptoms include:

  • Memory concerns
  • Difficulty finding words
  • Reduced attention and concentration
  • Slower information processing

About the Program
This free, eight-week program, developed by Dr. Heather Palmer (PhD, Neuropsychology) of Maximum Capacity, provides education and practical strategies to help manage and improve cognitive function. Each session includes learning, discussion, and exercises designed to enhance memory, focus, and overall mental clarity.

What to Expect

  • Weekly sessions led by Patricia Barrett, RN, BScN, MNRS, NBH-WHC
  • Offered in-person
  • Tools and strategies to improve memory and task management
  • A supportive space to connect with others experiencing similar challenges
  • Practical exercises to strengthen cognitive function
  • Handouts and activities to reinforce learning between sessions

Benefits of Participating

  • Improved memory and focus
