Description
In this 4 week workshop you will be equipped with the tools necessary for a life long yoga practice. We will be diving into the details of a full practice. A full practice is broken up into 3 parts - strength, flexibility, and meditation. In this 4 week workshop we will break down:
- the most common standing, balancing, and seated postures
- modifications that suit your body for each pose
- how to use props
- breathing techniques in vinyasa and hatha classes
- breathing techniques that balance the mind
- understanding “pain” when opening up the body
- the connection between asana (physical yoga practice) and
meditation
- 5 methods of approach to meditating
- energy centre’s of the body (Chakra’s) and their relevance in
meditation
- how the breath and meditation work hand in hand
- how to cultivate a daily meditation practice
This workshop is for those that are brand new to yoga, have attended a few classes, or for those who would like to deepen their understanding of the practice. Come with your questions because wherever you are in your journey, we are here to support and empower you!
