Join us to kick off the first series of our month of connection at Twisted Grit.  Shared Senses is a class to connect not only the body but the senses, the breath, and the entire human experience to create an immersive sensory practice.  

This will be a yin class, which means we will be practicing longer holds in poses that are close to the ground and supported.  There will be no weight-bearing poses or flows.  Yin is designed to get deeper into the muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments.  It also teaches us how to breathe during discomfort, adapt, and learn how to navigate hard times in our lives.  How to rewire our brain to create new patterns in our lives that create more energy, focus, and vitality.  

We will use aromatherapy to quickly access emotion and memory, helping the nervous system shift out of stress and into calm.  This will help deepen awareness, support emotional release, and make it easier to connect with yourself and others.  This can be a very powerful tool to bring off the mat.  

The room will be warm and welcoming with candlelight and charged with crystals and grounded with smudging and Reiki before the event.  Perfect for instant relaxation.  

Come practice real connection and find real healing.  Perfect to do with a partner or friend.  Our hearts create electricity and energy, which is so powerful that it can be felt 3 feet outside your body.  Bring someone to bask in each other's heart energy. 

Feel free to bring a journal, yoga mat, or any props that you need.  Otherwise, we have everything you need here. 

*A yoga mat is required. Twisted Grit offers the use of their mats for a suggested donation of $1 to the Twisted Grit Foundation. Click the link below or cash is accepted at the register.

****NO shows will be charged $5 to donate to the Twisted Grit Yoga Foundation.

To avoid being charged for your class, you must cancel 1 hour before the class starts. You will lose the class for a late cancellation.

*Please bring a sweat towel, water and wear moisture-wicking clothes that are not baggy for optimum comfort.

*You must have a doctor's permission if you are pregnant, under 18 years of age, or have any medical conditions that could be affected in the heat.

*Children CANNOT be left unattended in the lobby during classes.

*A general wellness of being able to get up and down off the floor is recommended. Please email us if you need other accommodations.  

*No cell phones or watches are allowed in the studio
