This is an introductory level course for absolute beginner dancers. The complex journey of jazz dance will be explored through a syllabus that traces the evolution of this nuanced style. By the end of the session, students will have learnt various vernacular & modern jazz dance fundamentals, expanded their musicianship, and developed physical & mental agility. This registered course is ideal for adults who have no previous experience with jazz dance but have always wanted to try, as well as for students who’ve taken jazz class in the past and want to reconnect with their love of dance.

Footwear: Jazz Shoes recommended. Bare feet acceptable. Purchase Ballet and Jazz Shoes at City Dance Corps.
Attire: Form fitting, stretch clothing you can sweat in.
