6-week course | $199.00 (+hst)

Dive into the world of musical theatre with our 6-week “Song and Dance Workshop.” This course is designed for those looking to enhance their performance and story-telling skills by combining both dance and singing techniques. Whether you're a dancer eager to add a vocals to your repertoire or a singer ready to bring dynamic movement into your performances, this workshop is the perfect place to develop your talents.

Throughout the course, you’ll work on a group number from a musical which will be selected to meet the student’s skill level. There will be a focus on character development through song & dance as well as the techniques involved in integrating these skills. Each week, you’ll also build on your skills through a vocal warm-up and dance progression drills.

This workshop is an excellent opportunity for Musical Theatre graduates to continue developing their craft, as well as for Dance graduates to strive towards becoming “triple-threats”. It also invites non-professional students who are curious to explore musical theatre performance.

By the end of the 6 weeks, you'll have a fully developed performance piece, showcasing your growth as a versatile performer.

Please Note: This is not a beginners course. The course is designed for individuals with prior dance or vocal experience. If you have no experience in either area, we kindly suggest exploring other foundational classes before joining this workshop.

Footwear: Jazz Shoes or Character Heels recommended. Purchase Jazz Shoes at City Dance Corps.
Attire: Form fitting, stretch clothing you can sweat in.
