Our Usui Reiki Level One Certification class offers you the opportunity to gain the essential experience, confidence, and foundational knowledge needed to embark on your journey as a Reiki healer. In this two day class, let by 2 heart-centered Reiki Masters, Launa Hobson and Sophie Turner. You will acquire the necessary tools and understanding to connect with your own energy and practice the healing art of Usui Reiki. Join us to receive the training you need to confidently start on your self-healing path. 

Preparing for Training:
Before attending the First Degree training, there are a few basic things you should do in preparation. These guidelines will enable you to get the most from your training and the initiation ceremony. 

Avoid taking alcohol or any other form of drug for at least forty-eight hours before class. These substances slow and hinder the flow of Reiki throughout the body. 

Avoid eating meat, fish, processed foods or any other junk food for at least twenty-four hours. If possible, have a day of fresh fruit, salad and vegetables. The digestion of food takes more energy than any other bodily function. Proteins and highly processed foods take more time to digest and will steal vital energy from your body. 

If possible, meditate each day for a week before attending the workshop. This will help to focus your thoughts, expectations and mind on becoming a Reiki channel for healing. 

The Morning of Class:
Get up earlier than normal so you have plenty of time to prepare for the day ahead. You will then have time to relax and not become rushed or stressed. 

If possible, take a walk or a gentle jog to energise your system. 
Avoid tea or coffee. However, naturally caffeine free herbal tea is fine. 

Eat only fruit for breakfast. You will have more energy for class. 
Mentally prepare yourself with a short meditation. 

Give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination. The stress of being late can upset your day and your enjoyment. 

Come to class with an open mind, body and spirit. You will get out only what you put into the training.

Here are a few things to make your visit smooth and relaxing:

  Parking: There are plenty of options — on-street parking, a large lot behind the building, and even a vacant lot right across the street.

  Finding Us: Our entrance is just to the right of Addictive Ink Tattoo on Main Street. First-time visit? Please plan to arrive about 10 minutes early so you have time to park and get settled.

  When you arrive: The door will be open — come right in, slip off your shoes (socks are perfect), and make yourself comfortable.

Settle in: Our cozy waiting room is on the right. Feel free to grab a beverage and enjoy some “me” time!
