PSP is hosting a free one-day athletic combine open to recreational and masters athletes of all sports and backgrounds on Sunday, April 19th. Test yourself across five events:

1. Vertical jump - Measures lower body power
2. 10-yard sprint - Acceleration test, measuring nervous system’s ability to recruit motor units rapidly in first steps
3. Depth drop - Measures landing mechanics and force absorption which can be predictors of ACL, achilles, and patellar tendonitis
4. Dead hang Hold - Measures shoulder girdle integrity, grip endurance, and relative body strength. Climbers, swimmers, racquet sport athletes can use as a proxy for injury resilience and functional capacity.
5. Grip strength - Reliable predictor of all cause mortality and functional strength, as well as being directly related to power transfer in most sports

and walk away with a personalized athlete profile benchmarked to your age group.

You’ll have access to two experts on-site: our local physiotherapist for movement screening and to answer questions about injury prevention, and our registered dietician for performance nutrition consults.
