“Renewal, Radiance and Hope” Led by

Live Mantra Music and Meditations by Melissa and Matthew
DeOrazio
The aura is the electromagnetic field that surrounds your body;
it acts as a container for your life force, bringing confidence,
security, mercy, and love. A strong aura attracts
positivity and repels negativity, like a shield. Illness cannot
penetrate to your physical body. It gives a strong sense of
security and an uplifting presence.
The practice of Kundalini Yoga and meditation helps to re-establish
and deeply nourish an inner sense of security by developing a
stronger nervous system. This strengthened nervous system, in turn,
helps us to experience calm within the storm of uncertainty.
In this workshop, we’ll practice kriyas and meditations with mantras to brighten the aura and restore radiance; to encourage courage and trust intuition; to build hope and bolster the nervous system.
Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is a yoga of awareness and energy. The practice includes mantra (chanting and music), pranayama (breathing), mudra (hand gestures), bandha (body locks), asana (body postures), savasana (relaxation) and dhyana (meditation).
Melissa DeOrazio has been practicing Kundalini Yoga since
2002 and completed her Teacher Training in Austin, TX in 2006. She
began actively teaching in 2008, starting at Swan River Yoga in New
Orleans.
A lifelong songwriter and performer, Melissa continues to explore
the human experience through poetry and song.
Matthew DeOrazio’s yoga practice is his music. Starting on guitar at age four and picking up drums and bass by his twelfth birthday, he has pursued the connection between spirituality, music, sound and rhythm through daily practice, introspection and regular live performances.
Melissa and Matthew have been playing music together since 2005. They perform under the name The Dirty Rain Revelers, based in New Orleans. They are working on albums for both the band, and for yoga-mantra-meditation music. www.TheDirtyRainRevelers.com
