Join Sarah in this Intermediate 5 week Class as she reviews the basics to turning your favorite photo into a watercolor painting. Working from a personal image (NOT a human portrait, a still life, landscape, animal etc. recommended) This series purchase includes a set of two Ebony Splendor brushes (6 round and 12 round *if this is not your first series with Sarah you will receive 2 different brushes), Derwent 5H pencil, and a 4-in-1 eraser.
Class #1: Sarah will instruct and review 3 ways to layout out your photo on an 8 x 10 watercolor paper. She will discuss your STYLE and feeling you are wanting to achieve. YOU WILL need to bring in a gray scale and a color printouts to keep in the studio.
Class #2: Dive deeper into color palettes & techniques using masking fluid, blending, blotting, different brushwork, and go over what materials can go under watercolor to attain a texture you might want. You WILL need to know terms OR techniques like glazing, charging, and other methods of watercolor.
Class #3: work on layers of watercolor painting
Class #4: work on layers of watercolor painting
Class #5: Finish watercolor painting
Working with Sarah will help you take all that you have learned and
help recreate a painting of your own from your favorite photo.
Please note - this will be a smaller class for a lot of one on one time if needed.
