Every first Wednesday of the month participants will actively create goals, learn interesting nutrition trivia, and discuss previous goals and experiences regarding nutrition.
2nd Wednesday- Guide to researching nutrition-related questions
Do you have a burning nutrition question but have no idea where or which website to look at? Navigating through a sea of information on the internet can be quite overwhelming most of the time. Which websites and articles can you trust? Is the author steering you the wrong way? Does wine a day actually give you the benefits of a good workout? Have no fear, every second Wednesday is here! Here we will be learning research strategies that will make finding evidence-based information a lot easier and less intimidating.
3rd Wednesday- General Nutrition Education
Ever wonder about how carbohydrates, fats, protein, and vitamins helps our bodies function properly? What are fad diets? And what’s the deal with organic food and why is it in my grocery store?
4th Wednesday- Food Demos
Bring your containers and an empty stomach! The last Wednesday of the month will involve learning how to prepare and cook meals. Recipes presented in this class are quick 15-40 minute recipes that are mostly plant-based with an option to add meat-based products after class.
