Description

Yoga meditation is the practice of training your mind, clearing the filters that distort perception, and strengthening your attention. This 10-hour workshop will include an introduction to the psychology of yoga, a review of yoga philosophy (dyana and samadhi), mindfulness, and yoga nidra. This workshop will include lecture, group discussion, and guided practice. Participants will leave this workshop with information on how meditation affects brain function as well as with an experience of guided meditation. It is open to anyone who is interested in developing their mental focus or learning techniques for teaching meditation. 10 Yoga Alliance CEUs will be available for participation in both days of training.
