The Burlesque Stage Manager:
Understanding How to Use Your Theatre Training in a Non-Theatre
Environment.
What is a Stage Manager? Why do I
need one? What is my job once I have become the Stage Manager?
Where do I fit in the scheme of the production? How can I be most
effective and efficient?
For some, a good stage manager is
invaluable if they know how to utilize them. In the theatre, Stage
Managers serve a multitude of functions, the least of which is
keeping everyone on track. This workshop focuses on answering all
the above questions while also providing an in-depth look at the
work that is a Stage Manager’s responsibility, particularly for
those thrust into this position with no knowledge or
experience.

Stage Kittening is one of the
essential jobs in Burlesque. Without a good kitten, your show looks
unpolished, and the flow suffers. Being a kitten for a show is also
an incredible way to get your foot in the door at local shows.
Taking this class will give you insight into being great at what
you do and being an integral part of any great burlesque
show.
This workshop is presented as part of the Atlanta School of
Burlesque's Burlesque Academy Semester. Current
Level 3 students enrolled in the Academy (not a la carte)
dance classes get this workshop at no additional cost.
