Description
Stress can be unhealthy for us, both mentally and physically, and
it can build up if we're not careful. Studies show that mindfulness
practice can be effective in dealing with stress by helping us to
stay present, grounded, and relaxed. This workshop will teach you
how to use mindfulness practice and yoga as a way of working with
stress positively. We'll look at various aspects of mindfulness
practice and how to make them part of daily life. - We'll look at
what stress is, where it comes from, and different mechanisms for
dealing with it including breathing, meditation, yoga, and other
mindfulness practices. We'll also take a look at the autonomic
nervous system and how both stress and mindfulness/meditation
affect it. This workshop counts as 1.5 CEUS for yoga
teachers.
