Description
This 3-week series is a great way for someone to get started with their yoga practice. During this series students will learn about yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration, breathing exercises and techniques along with relaxation techniques. Each week we will explore postures and movement that will help each student build stability, strength and flexibility. This class is perfect for those who are looking for a comfortable and safe space to start their yoga journey, as well as seasoned yogis who would like to go back to the basics. Here’s what to expect:
Class 1: Breath, gentle movement and core strengthening
Class 2: Standing postures and core & upper body strengthening
Class 3: Warrior I & II, twisting postures and Down Dog
Class 4: Sun Salutation A and heart opening postures
Class 5: Sun Salutation B and balance postures
Class 6: Putting it all together to create a basic asana flow
