Who doesn't love teasers!  This three-hour intensive workshop is focused on perfecting the elusive Pilates monster, teaser and its foundational counter part, the roll-up.  Roll-ups and Teasers are one of the absolute best exercises to activate your entire core.  Teaser is a terrific exercise for balance, flexibility and spinal mobility because it incorporates the entire abdominal wall and spinal stabilizers to  keep you upright in a V position on your sits bones. Teaser is especially effective for targeting the external obliques, rectus abdominis and inner thighs/glutes.  Likewise, a Roll-Up is an effective way of increasing the flexibility of your body by improving hip flexor length and mobilizing your spine. It also strengthens your abdominals and prepares you to advance into a Teaser.  Together, these exercises strengthen your abs and increase your spinal and hamstring flexibility.  This is important because an inflexible body can lead to pain; it also makes your movement less efficient.

In this workshop, we will break down the components of a Roll-Up and a Teaser.  We will discuss the proper form.  We will strengthen the muscles necessary to support these exercises.  We will explore how to execute them without staining your back and hips.  We will start with very basic variations and modifications that can be done for a person at any level.  We will then explore more challenging variations, which can be used to increase the connectivity into your core, improve strength and improve flexibility.  You will work hard developing and improving your core strength and exploring your physical and mental strength.
