Yogi Bhajan brought the teachings of Kundalini Yoga to the West from India in 1969. Today they are practiced worldwide to quiet the mind so that we can more easily hear out inner voice.
Kundalini classes include yogic postures combined with specialized breathing techniques (pranayamas), mantras, mudras, and meditations. The practice focuses on revealing our radiant self by increasing energy flow in the body.
Yoga nidra is a sleep-based guided meditation technique originating more than two thousand years ago. With the help of a guide, one drops into deep brainwave states, allowing the wisdom of the body to take over and encourage deep restoration on many levels.
The beauty of this practice is that one need not have experience with meditation whatsoever to drop into deeper states of consciousness. Here, as one rests in this space-between-spaces, a relaxed, yet alert state is achieved, allowing an effortless reunion with the highest Self.
You have booked the In-Person option for this event. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before start time and bring your own yoga mat, blanket and props, if you can. There will be some available in the studio as well. Thank you.
