Anatomy and physiology is almost always oversimplified for
learning purposes. While you may learn anatomy as a community of
individual parts, it is really an interconnected web. Even the
medical community until recently regarded the connective tissue as
packing material or a road map to more important things like
joints. But times are changing, thankfully, and as yoga and
movement teachers, it’s vital that we understand how the body moves
as a whole.
In this training, we will dive into the latest cutting-edge
research about connective tissue. Students will understand the
deeper layers of anatomy to life in a way that’s both
realistic and valuable for movement professionals. Students will
participate in movement sessions that incorporate yoga and
myofascial release, and help to integrate the lessons from
lecture.
Who benefits from this training? Anyone with a deep interest in
movement, performance, or pain. It is best suited for yoga
teachers, yoga therapists, movement, manual and physical
