Hot Mat Pilates Training:
In this 10-hour training, you’ll learn the key principles needed
to lead a Hot Mat Pilates class.
Designed for yoga teachers who have completed a 200hr training,
this unique method builds on
what you already know, informing and inspiring your current
teaching method.
The purpose of Pilates is to strengthen, lengthen, and balance
the body, with a primary focus on
creating muscle tone and core strength. Hot Mat Pilates is a breath
focused, high intensity, low
impact class using various sequences to stabilize major muscle
groups.
This course we will review classical and modern mat Pilates
exercises, alignment, sequencing,
incorporating props, and creating a playlist that will energize the
experience.
Pilates is a valuable way to increase strength, flexibility, and
evenly condition the body, while
helping to prevent injuries and train muscle groups to move more
effectively. It’s truly the perfect
complement to a regular yoga practice.
In addition to 8 hours of in-person training, you’ll be required
to take 2 Hot Mat Pilates classes
with Jess in person. After all sessions are completed, a 20-minute
teach-back session will be
scheduled via zoom.
