Join us for a transformative 4-week workshop series, “Yoga
Explorers,” specially designed for 7-10 year olds at Inlet Yoga.
Led by the experienced and compassionate Brittany, a registered 200
RYT with two decades of teaching in our local schools, this
workshop aims to lay the foundation for a lifetime of
well-being.
Why Start Young?
In today's fast-paced world, children face numerous challenges that
can impact their emotional well-being. This workshop emphasizes the
importance of introducing yoga to children early on, highlighting
the following benefits:
Stress Management: Yoga equips children with
essential tools for stress reduction, teaching them to manage
anxiety through breathwork and relaxation techniques. These skills
will serve them well into adulthood.
Emotional Regulation: By fostering mindfulness and
the ability to be present, yoga aids children in achieving a
peaceful state of mind, contributing to improved emotional
regulation and resilience.
Self-Esteem Boost: The workshop empowers children
by allowing them to perfect poses, enhance balance, and improve
flexibility, building a strong sense of personal empowerment and
boosting self-esteem.
Body Awareness and Mindfulness: Through a variety
of yoga poses, children explore their bodies and discover the
movements they are capable of, promoting body awareness and
mindfulness.
Concentration and Memory Enhancement: The focus
required in various yoga moves enhances children's concentration
and memory skills, providing a positive impact on academic
performance.
Strength and Flexibility Development: Yoga
contributes to the physical well-being of growing bodies,
strengthening muscles, and improving flexibility, thereby reducing
the risk of injury.
Discipline and Impulsivity Reduction: Yoga
provides a constructive outlet for self-expression, teaching
discipline as children work on clearing their minds and perfecting
poses, ultimately reducing impulsivity.
