No amount of celery juice, detox tea, or veggies will help you detoxify if your body is THIS stressed. Exercise can be tricky here because the movement your body may be craving is not what your ego may be demanding. I’m telling you I’ve been doing all the above for the past year - and it was only when my body screamed ENOUGH and I figuratively [but almost literally] crawled toward restorative yoga as a means to really calm my nervous system - that I finally started to see inflammation and retention go down. 

Detox methods have their rightful place, and I’m not dismissing them. But I’m sharing (because I’m learning) that maybe before you give those things so much priority, give importance to calming your sympathetic nervous system. Spending time in nature, practicing tai chi/ mindful yoga, meditation, prayer, playing with your littles, deep/slow breathing, calming scents, and nurturing yourself are just a few ways you can activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Spend some time researching methods that you love, and maybe you won’t need to think as much about detoxing . Your body’s natural detoxing system can be pretty effective if it’s properly supported. 

Each session will be 45 minutes and recorded so if you can’t make the scheduled time you will receive the recording shortly after and will have access to it whenever you need it. May we give ourselves Permission to Rest and Relax to Help Our Nervous System feel restored!
