Description

There is a magic moment in this workshop where we pause and simply sit. Meditation is effortless because we’ve interrupted the phrenic stream of thought waves. In yogic terms we have calmed the Chit Vrittis, the constant and relentless stream of thoughts. When the class collectively arrives into this state the atmosphere in the room is calm, peaceful and expansive. Together we sit connected to a power MUCH greater than ourself and naturally coalesce into the harmony with nature.

We use Tune Up Fitness massage therapy balls, primarily the Coregeous Ball, which is soft air filled ball resembling a Pilates ball. With the use of the Coregeous Ball we access the fascial web that holds us together and specifically address the belly, chest and neck all of which have direct link to the autonomic nervous system. We are able to down shift our nervous system to a state of rest, digest, tend and mend.

Special Instructions

There are a few details that will make your experience better. 

    1.    Let your last big meal be at least 2-3 hrs prior to class. We roll directly on our belly so, being less in the digestion process feels better.
    2.    Bring a blanket to cover up with and for extra positional support should you feel you need a little.
    3.    With the COLD temperatures we are experiencing a touque and nice warm socks might nice too!
    4.    Tighter fitting sportswear clothing works the best. Yoga-like tights or activewear pants with a moveable waistband is best. A fitted tank top with a scoop neckline is ideal because there are several ball placements for the chest.  Again, with the cold temperatures in mind, do come dressed in layers so you can stay comfortable.
    5.    Bring a water bottle 
    6.    Have a dinner plan for afterwards. It’s the last thing, VERY LAST THING, you’ll want to pull together after class feeling so relaxed.
    7.    Plan to have a quiet night afterwards so you can absorb the power of the work. 
    8.    Please let me know if you have any digestive concerns such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chrohn’s Disease, Endometriosis, IUD contraception or a history of abdominal surgery. I will give important modifications so you can do the work and stay comfortable during and after the ball placements.
