Lisa will guide you through a series of gentle supported Restorative Yoga poses, while Melissa, certified Sound Therapist, will create a Sacred Sound Bath to further enhance your physical and mental relaxation.
Restorative Yoga is a gentle style of yoga designed to restore, relax and rejuvenate the body. We use blankets, bolsters, blocks and other props to support the body so that you can fully relax and hold these poses for a longer period of time, promoting a deep state of relaxation.
Sacred Sound bathing is the practice of deep immersion in soothing sounds that can help to relax and rejuvenate the mind and body. As you move into Restorative Yoga postures you will be bathed in healing frequencies. Sound, rhythm and vibration facilitate balance and restoration at the cellular level and gently slow down brain wave activity allowing for a theta or meditative state of relaxation.
This soothing pairing will help cleanse and balance your chakras, move stagnant energy, calm the nervous system and guide you into a deep calm, meditative state. It is a perfect combination.
*Please bring: a yoga mat, an eye pillow or a hand towel to cover your eyes & water, if you have other yoga props such as bolsters, blankets, blocks, please bring them. We do have some available at the studio.
