Our life is demanding, so we need to learn tools to self-regulate. One of the most effective tools is mindfulness, or non-judgmental awareness. Mindfulness allows us navigate any life’s storms from the centered and composed self, so we can make wise decisions instead of regretful reactions.
Mindfulness is a trainable skill. The technique to train mindfulness is meditation. Essentially, meditation is an invitation to dignity and graciousness; it is the training for the mind to reduce reactivity and cultivate equanimity. To develop the “pause” button that would work in the most heated moments.
