A special live music yoga event with Lisa Dearie & Chris Hernandez 

Join us for a special modern twist on the classic yin yoga class. This event will combine yin postures led by senior yoga teacher Lisa Dearie and feature live music from local musician Chris Hernandez. Lisa's yin classes are known to help students settle into deep stretches, release stored tension, and guide participants into a relaxed mental state. Chris will play the electric guitar during the class, providing soothing tunes and vibrations. At the end of class, Chris' electronic psychedelic guitar sounds assist in whisking the listener away during the guided savasana. 

Lisa Dearie, 500 RYT, has been teaching since 2006 and has been at Yoga Den Studios since 2019. Lisa has a deep love for yoga and, more importantly, her students. Lisa is friendly and warm and creates a welcoming environment for all levels of students. Her classes are grounded in breathwork and mindfulness. She loves to create fun and uplifting playlists, weave in themes, and occasionally read inspiring poems. 

Chris Hernandez has been a musician since 1973 and has played the guitar for over 50 years. Starting out as a child walking in the woods playing the harmonica, it did not take long for him to find out he was hooked on music. Leading bands throughout high school, he took a summer to study guitar at Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA, in 1981. Studying piano and other instruments during his time at college at San Francisco State, he had the opportunity to play in clubs and bars in Northern California. After getting his 200-hour teacher training with Yoga Den, attaching his love of music to yoga was a natural progression.
