Description
The first years of hockey need to be a positive experience. A great start allows these young players to enjoy the game of hockey for life and inspires more families to join the hockey community. Synergy’s Learn to Play Hockey program is co-ed and geared for beginner skaters ages 4 – 6 years old(or ages new to hockey). This program runs once a week for 4 consecutive weeks.
Learn to Play Hockey Program will provide age-appropriate instruction and certified coaching, led by NHL Alumni Jan Ludvig, in a fun, exciting, safe learning environment. This program will teach skaters the fundamentals of Ice Hockey. Areas of focus will include, skating, puck control, shooting, and passing by incorporating a series of specially designed drills, personalized instruction, and small-area games.
This program is instructed on Synthetic ice. We at Synergy believe that our Synthetic Ice Surface is the best surface on which to start your beginner hockey player. Our surface takes away the need for any skate aids or parental assistance. Your child will feel more confident to learn the joys of hockey in a warm, less intimidating facility.
Three-year-old players may be accepted if they have been through one of our previous programs or have been introduced to ice skating before. To request this option, please call Synergy before registering for this program.
