What is Self Myofascial Release?
Myofascial release involves methods aimed at relieving tension
and tightness in muscles. Myofascia, the precise term
for muscles, is enveloped in nerve-rich connective tissue called
fascia. Every muscle fiber is intricately wrapped in this fascia,
making a “muscle” essentially a “myofascial structure.” Without
fascia, there is no muscle.
Why is this great for yogis?
Unlock greater strength and flexibility through myofascial
release techniques. For yogis seeking to elevate their
practice, picture the ability to perform self-massage techniques
that boost performance and hasten recovery. This workshop empowers
you to release inhibited muscle tissue, often referred to as
trigger points, knots, or muscle spasms. The result? Amplified
mobility, enabling joints to move through their optimal range
without constraint. As you liberate once restricted muscle fibers,
your muscles can contract more fully, translating into increased
strength and a broader range of motion.
What can you expect from this workshop?
After 90 minutes of instruction and practice, you will take home two sizes of massage balls, as well as knowledge about techniques to self massage for different muscles. Learn self massage techniques for feet, hips, shoulders, forearms, hands, and anything else we have time for!
