Our freedom leash sets were uniquely designed just for us!  For safety, they have a quick release between the belt to the lead to easily unclip your dog from you when needed, such as when doing a dog-to-dog greeting, or for more freedom for a bathroom stop.  It also has a handy ring at the front to clip your lead to when you don't need it attached to your dog, which prevents the lead from dangling behind you.

Our freedom belts and leads only come in one colour:  orange and grey.  This means if you see someone else out on a walk, you can comfortably guess that they too are a clevercanines participant or graduate... how cool is that?!  Both the belt and lead are double thick for both durability and comfort.

Our standard size of belt and lead fits pretty much any dog and any person.

Our belts start with child sizes and increase in size from there.  You can check your waist size against the size range of the belt to ensure a snug fit.  Belts should fit comfortably, but snuggly, over the top of your hips (not your waist, as the belt will slide around too much when worn on the waist).   

Leads can be a bit trickier to fit and we recommend you work with an instructor to ensure the proper length.  Too long, the dog will have too much room to pull or the dog will get tangled around your legs.  Too short, the dog won't have opportunities to make choices or walk comfortably with the ideal loose leash.  We also have very thin leads that are ideal for very small dogs where the regular double thickness can be too heavy for them.

All first-time program participants will receive a regular-sized hands-free leash set as part of their registration.  You are welcome to exchange the belt and/or lead if the sizing needs to be adjusted.

For ease, we recommend each person in the household have their own freedom set which prevents the constant adjusting of the belt or lead each time it's worn, which will help ensure it's always the right fit for the user.
