Our class allows women to safely practice yoga throughout their
pregnancy. We focus on stretching and building strength of the
upper and lower body as well as build the perineal muscles on the
pelvic floor in preparation for childbearing. Prenatal yoga has
been known to help shorten labor and quicken recovery time.
Learning the power of deep breathing (pranayama) and meditation, a
mother gains tools within herself to stay calm and grounded through
the ups and downs of her journey. Pregnancy is not something a
woman needs to get through, rather it is a life-changing experience
where each moment should be embraced. The yoga practice helps a
mother to prepare for this new chapter in her life. Beginners are
welcomed.
