This half-day silent retreat is intended to deepen one’s
practice of mindfulness and self-compassion. Participants will be
provided a variety of practices and are encouraged to savor their
experience in 4 uninterrupted hours of silence.
Who should attend
This silent retreat is open to anyone who has had previous experience with mindfulness, mindful self-compassion, meditation, alternative contemplative retreats or who has participated in any mindfulness-based programs.
Please be aware that during this retreat, there will be extended periods of silence and practices will be longer in duration to facilitate immersion and deepening of one’s experience.
Materials
Participants can use our meditation Zafu cushions and yoga mats during the workshop or are welcome to bring their own. Chairs will also be available. Comfortable clothing is recommended.
During this half day retreat, we will be engaging in a practice that takes place outside if the weather permits. Please dress accordingly for the weather.
A nutrition break will be scheduled. Although refreshments and a light snack will be made available, please feel free to bring your own should you wish.
