The focus of this class is on creative ground movement: sliding, spirals, rolls, and walks that work on developing flow in your movement. This course includes all of the fun ground exploration, mixed in with basic acrobatic movement. This is a suitable class for those who do not come from a gymnastics or acrobatic background and are just learning to explore acrobatic movement.
Class format:
A calm relaxing warmup, to get your body loose and ready for whatʼs
to come.
A bit of core to active connections, and insure your foundation is
strong.
Line traveling, working on movement that will strengthen your
transitions and make you more confident with ground work.
Learn vocabulary - expressive tricks to call on when asked to
“Strike a pose” or “show me who you are”.
Work fun and creative combos, using both acrobatic and flexy moves
- mixing elements from your newly found vocabulary with a touch of
character. This is when you truly harness your power and your stage
presence.
