Yoga for Happy and Healthy Neck and Shoulders
Alleviate “tech neck” and free up your posture!
with Dr. Amelia Cantor Chang and Enicia Fisher
Saturday, July 20
3-5 pm
Temecula Yoga Collective
Most of us spend too much time with technology, working on computers or using cell phones throughout the day. Stress and tension accumulates in the neck and shoulders. Over time, our upper body health can be affected with poor posture and, for some, debilitating pain. We want to bring relief and wellness to your physical body and balance to your lifestyle through a combination of yoga and mindfulness practices.
Enjoy an afternoon of yoga asana designed to open up your shoulders, relieve your neck, and release physical pain and tightness in the upper body. Along with take-home practices designed to bring relief and healthy alignment to your neck and shoulders, we will share with you mindfulness practices intended to bring balance and wellness to your entire being.
Amelia will offer a brief overview of neck and shoulder anatomy prior to warm-up and sequences that you can use for home practice with valuable input from her background as a Physical Therapist and Yoga Therapist. Enicia will offer restorative yoga poses, mindfulness practices, and a guided meditation focused on heart-centered awareness. Feel relaxed and free of tension, and empowered to continue healthy practices in your daily life.
You're invited to take a break for dinner after the workshop, and come back to join Enicia, Kathy, and Karen for the evening's special event, Cacao Offering and Kirtan, from 7-9 pm!
Workshop fee: $25
