Would you know what to do if a pregnant woman wandered into your yoga class? What about if one of your current students told you in confidence that she just found out she's expecting--would you know how to keep her and her baby safe? As a yoga teacher, it's your responsibility to keep ALL of your students safe--including pregnant mamas!
Whether you ever plan to teach prenatal yoga or not, it's important to know the basics of how to modify a yoga practice so that you can safely guide pregnant students.
This course will teach you everything you need to know to modify your yoga classes for pregnant students. We'll cover some basic do's and don'ts, frequently asked questions, pregnancy yoga myths, and look at alternative poses you can suggest in place of the don'ts.
Plus, you'll get practical tips on how to instruct a pregnant mama safely without interrupting the flow of the class for other students.
This is great for all yoga teachers, yoga students who are preparing to become pregnant in the future, and doulas or any other birth professional who wants to use yoga to support clients.
About the teacher:
Erica Winters has been helping pregnant mamas feel more comfortable in their bodies, prepare for birth, and build a network of mama friends through prenatal yoga since 2014. As a mama of two herself, she draws on her own experiences and the feedback of the hundreds of pregnant students who have now been through her programs to offer practical yoga tools that help with all both the physical and emotional parts of pregnancy.
