In this 2-hour class, we will move through the classic
sequence of 84 hatha yoga postures, from which the Ghosh and Bikram
yoga lineages descended. Although this class was popularized in a
hot room, we will practice at room temperature and allow the body
to develop its own internal heat. There are no vinyasas in this
sequence. Apart from the opening salutations to the gods,
goddesses, sun, and moon, all postures are practiced with static
holds.
Intermediate
Intermediate classes give students the opportunity to practice
more challenging poses and further develop their strength and
flexibility. While this class may seem difficult at first, we
understand that the only way to grow is to try. Show up with an
open mind and ready to work— progress is inevitable! Students are
encouraged to feel comfortable with the Open Level class before
joining.
